About Me
Michael was called to the Bar in 2005. Having practiced exclusively in personal injury law since becoming a lawyer, Michael has extensive experience in personal injury law including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, severe and catastrophic injuries, fatalities, soft tissue injury claims, whiplash injury claims and disability insurance claims. Over the past decade alone, Michael has successfully achieved settlements for over one thousand of his clients, achieving justice and compensation for those suffering from injuries ranging from soft tissue and whiplash injuries to quadriplegia, paraplegia and brain injuries.
Michael obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2013 from Osgoode Hall Law School with a specialization in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He was the 2017-2018 President of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA) and is currently a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association) and the Canadian Bar Association.
Michael has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, including the Alberta Provincial Court, Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal. Michael has served as an Examiner and Instructor with the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED). He has presented at legal conferences.
Giving back to the community and those in need is a key part of Michael’s life and he donates generously. When he is not fighting for justice, Michael enjoys the fun things in life with his wife and young children.
Before I owned my own Alberta personal injury law firm. Before I worked for 17 years as a lawyer for a top personal injury law firm in Alberta, fighting for my clients and handling thousands of cases.
I Learned Hope, Hard Work,
Determination And Passion.
I learned the ability to never give up and to overcome challenges. I realized that these core principles would be best utilized in a career as a lawyer where I could fight for the hurt, traumatized and dispossessed. Where I could fight for you.
And for 17 years, I’ve had that legal career fighting for the injured, the hurt, the traumatized and the dispossessed.
