First of all, the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue can be tough. Consequently, Mr. Zimmerer is frequently called on as a Tax Attorney to represent clients. CAP cases can be filed after that deadline, up to 1 year later. However, CAP cases cannot allow a taxpayer to file a US Tax Court case, as a CDP case allows.
