About Me
Attorney Brent D. Bowen is the founder and owner of Brent D. Bowen Attorney At Law located in Denton, Texas. Serving clients throughout Denton and Tarrant counties as well as across the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas, Mr. Bowen focuses his practice exclusively on criminal law, and he has more than 16 years of experience helping his clients achieve the favorable outcomes they deserve for their legal challenges involving any of the following:
· DUI/DWI charges
· Drug crimes
· Assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes
· Weapons charges
· White collar crimes
· Juvenile crimes and defense for college students
· Probation revocations
· Expungements, nondisclosure orders and deferred adjudications
A 1999 graduate of Baylor University, Mr. Bowen obtained his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2002. While in law school, he was actively involved with the moot court, and he earned high honors from his exceptional academic achievements. He received his license to practice from the State Bar of Texas in 2002 and from the Kansas Bar Association the following year. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Bowen served for several years as an assistant district attorney with the Shawnee County, Johnson County and Denton County District Attorney's Offices. Through these roles, he gained invaluable insight into the inner workings of the criminal justice system, enabling him to devise the most effective defense strategies possible for his clients.
Regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Bowen has received widespread attention from the media while serving as counsel on several high-profile cases, and Texas Lawyer magazine cited him in an article regarding discovery policies. He is a member of numerous local, state and national bar associations, having served as president of the Denton Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association in 2007.
In recognition for his impeccable professionalism and service, Murray Media Group named him the Best Juvenile Attorney in Denton County in 2015, 2017, 2019 and the Best Criminal Defense Attorney in 2016, 2018. Brent had finished in the top 3 in each category every year.
