About Me

I’ve worked on both sides of personal injury law. In 1995 I articled and first practiced at Stan M. Tick & Associates in Hamilton. I left to pursue my Master of Laws degree and graduated with Merit from the London School of Economics in 1997.
After my Masters I became a partner at a Toronto defense boutique law firm dealing exclusively in insurance defense litigation. In 2009, I founded Derek Wilson Personal Injury Lawyer. Today I'm devoted my practice helping injured victims.
I’m a member of the Hamilton Law Association, Advocates Society, and Law Society of Upper Canada. When I’m not practicing law, I love to hit the slopes and am a level 2 ski instructor.
