About Me
Rhode Island family law attorney Carolyn R. Barone has been associated with Kirshenbaum Law Associates, Inc. throughout her legal career. A partner of the firm since 1987, she is currently a senior partner who represents clients in all aspects of family law. Ms. Barone received an AV Preeminent (TM) rating from the Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review, the highest rating given for ability and ethical standards, reflecting her expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence. She has also received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating available for client reviews and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys (TM) in the country. Carolyn Barone was recently honored through peer recognition as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and was designated a Top Attorney in the State of Rhode Island. She has been on the faculty of many seminars devoted to family law and has lectured on domestic relations practice for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Mandatory Clerkship Program, the Rhode Island Bar Association and the National Business Institute. Family law lawyer Carolyn Barone is also a contributing author on the topic of Business Valuation to A Practical Guide to Divorce in Rhode Island, published by MCLE, Inc., in 2009. Attorney Barone is a highly active member of the legal community. A member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, she is a long-standing participant in that association’s Family Law Program and has received the Continuing Service Award. In addition to her work on behalf of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Ms. Barone is a founding member and master of the Edward P. Gallogly Rhode Island Family Law Inn of Court and has served two terms as its president. She is currently President of the Rhode Island Bar Association, has served as an Officer and Chair of many of its subcommittees. As Past President of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association, she has also served as a mentor to many family law attorneys in Cranston, Warwick and Providence, and throughout Rhode Island.
