John R. McCravy, III is a distinguished attorney and founding partner of McCravy, Newlon, Sturkie, & Clardy Law Firm P.A., based in South Carolina. He began his legal career in 1985 as a Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of South Carolina. McCravy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from Clemson University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. His extensive experience includes teaching higher education courses in Constitutional and Criminal Law. In 2016, McCravy was elected to represent House District 13 in the South Carolina State House, where he has advocated for conservative measures such as the Heartbeat Bill and the Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Act.
