At our firm, we believe in the jury system. We believe that substantial verdicts not only compensate the victims of negligence, but they also make our society safer. If a corporation places profits over safety and a child is injured or killed, a substantial verdict will tell that corporation that its conduct will not be tolerated. No negligent or careless act that results in the injury or death of another should ever go unpunished. If an insurance company refuses to pay a legitimate claim, a substantial verdict will let that insurance company know that its actions are unacceptable. If a hospital chain understaffs or underfunds one of its hospitals and a patient dies, a substantial verdict will show that hospital chain that its conduct will not be allowed. less
