Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, the Fair Housing Act (FHA) seeks to provide fair housing throughout the United States. The FHA prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of dwellings based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin, or familial status (presence of child under age of 18, and pregnant women).
