Mrs. Scott's practice consists of school law and public law, involving general representation of public school districts, independent and private schools, charter schools, junior colleges, universities, education foundations, and other education-related entities, in matters involving employment, special education, student discipline, bidding, construction, charter schools, educational foundations, policy development, open meetings, public information and other legal matters affecting educational entities. She has defended clients before the federal and state administrative agencies, and has litigated in state and federal court on matters involving construction, competitive bidding, teacher salaries, employee terminations, student transfers, gender equity in athletics, special education, graduation requirements, civil rights violations, exclusive marketing agreements, and other matters. She drafts and negotiates contracts in such divergent areas as employment, exclusive vendor agreements, construction, insurance, tax increment financing, and software licensing.
